Longer stories
(There’s so much figurative language in this one. I’m not one for simile and metaphor, usually - you can tell from the stories linked to above - but this was something I wanted to try out. It’s rather dramatic. If you feel like it, try analysing the literary techniques used here; it’s the first time I’ve ever consciously employed them outside of schoolwork.)
(A rather stream-of-consciousness style story. It’s longer and less polished than The Colour, but it should be an interesting look into the mind of a stalker. If it sounds personal, that’s because a lot of it is, in fact, stuff I put myself through on the basis of “this won’t hurt”. And, well, it didn’t, and it was fun for about a week.
Try it sometime. Pick a target and write down everything he or she does - with their permission, of course. It’ll be an unusual and worthwhile experience.)
(Loosely based on actual limerence. This was fun to write, especially since it was even more stream-of-consciousness than Record. The structure is very chaotic, the narrator’s thoughts are directed at more than one person at once, everything contradicts each other… Yes, it was fun.)
(True love between a human and a laptop. Much sweeter and less yandere than almost everything else on this list. No, it would be more accurate to say that it was a sweet love story until it passed into my hands.)
(This one is, once again, presented as a monologue from “me” to “you” - I like this form because it allows the reader to choose which one of these to step into. After digging up some old dream diaries, I immediately decided that I wanted to write something about dreams. Those things can be quite inspiring.)
When a yandere-lover gets a yandere lover…
(A light-hearted treatment of what might happen if a stereotypical yandere girl had a precious sempai who actually liked yandere.)
My Girlfriend is a Yandereologist
(Written approximately like an ordinary light novel, this series covers the everyday life of this guy who happens to be dating a yandere fan. Light and fluffy and hopefully occasionally funny and not just awkward.)
(An improvised, diary-style story that takes place in two notebooks. The pink notebook contains pretty much all the cute fluffy -dere content that I can muster. The black notebook…)
Poems
(A deliberately and hopefully hilariously awful yandere poem by the main heroine of our webcomic, Yumeno Asami. It was fun writing this. Favourite line: “Sad like a raindrop”.)
(An experimental poem, in a style that might vaguely remind you of Sylvia Plath’s, or something, I suppose. Every word of it makes perfect sense to me, but the few people I’ve showed it to told me that it makes no sense. I wonder what you’ll see in it.)
Fanfiction:
(A (tiny) collection of fanfics by Amy that may or may not involve yandere. Also includes a fairly complete list of all the fiction that Amy is able to write fanfics for, in case you want to request any!)
Yandere no Onna no Ko epilogues
(Exactly what it says on the tin - these are what Amy thinks could happen after the end of some Yandere no Onna no Ko tracks. Currently includes the cooking imouto Nonohara Nagisa and the shrine maiden Nanamiya Iori.)
Works by others:
“BoxcutterKaede” - Yandere Poem Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 5C
(A free verse poem that’s a little unpolished but captures the image of “yandere” clearly. Large emphasis on violence. If you like subtlety, this isn’t for you. If you like the over-the-top antics that characterise series such as Mirai Nikki, though, this is worth a look. There are 3 endings, although they seem to be different stories altogether.)
“Shirohayabusa” - Strange Love
(This short story is characterised by its matter-of-fact tone and quite neatly captures the mind of a yandere girl who sincerely does not think there is anything wrong with what she is doing. Particularly interesting are her hobby and her diction, through which her worldview is indirectly demonstrated.)
“Yourfandom” - I’m waiting for you
(…And the tone of this one is characterised by its fast, desperate pacing. It creates a sense of chaotic passion and demonstrates yandere reasoning in the form of obvious and tragic misunderstanding. Oh, but if you look at it from a different angle, it’s rather amusing, in a twisted way.) Mysteriously missing.
“Imperialist Scum” - A very Yandere love poem
(A poem from the perspective of a yandere girl’s love interest. The whimsical tone gives it some very quotable lines - “she’s about as stable, as a one-legged table”, for one. Effective black comedy. A little un-proof-read, though.) Mysteriously missing.
“Franny123” - My Darling Wife
(Flash fiction. If you go into this unsuspectingly, perhaps it’ll catch you off-guard. The style seems similar to classical literature, although in places the phrasing looks Japanese. It’s labeled as “mature content”, though, so you’ll need to have a dA account and be 18+.)
“Apherosy” - Murder the Hypotenuse
(This poem captures the black comedy potential of yandere. With a song-like tone and structure, it lists out many of the key features of yandere behaviour in a blatantly oblivious manner. Bonus points for the TVtropes reference?)
“Slowlylosinglolita” - Pirouette
(This story has quite remarkable use of detail - in clipped sentences and streams of thought, giving the mundane a shade of strangeness. It mixes unusual, unique motifs with the ones we have come to expect, and leads along a path of fragments to a sudden yet gentle landing.)
